Abstract

INTRODUCTION

Cleft lip-palate is the most common craniofacial congenital anomaly. Patients with Cleft lip palate require treatment with a multidisciplinary approach from birth to enable independent feeding and physiological growth. In the past, the fabrication of therapeutic devices for a child with a cleft lip palate was executed through conventional dental impression materials , with the risk of suffocation. The use of a digital workflow minimizes impression-related risks and streamlines procedures.

METHODS

This study aims to propose a hybrid workflow that can combine the advantages of digital workflow with the advantages of analog workflow that can be applied daily by clinicians treating cleft lip-palate-affected patients.

RESULTS

The device created was immediately accepted by the patient allowing autonomous nutrition. Evaluation of the effectiveness of the device was done by body weight assessment every 15 days.

CONCLUSION

The patient had growth comparable to that of a child born healthy.

引言

唇腭裂是最常见的颅面先天畸形。唇腭裂患者需要从出生起就采用多学科方法进行治疗,以实现独立进食和生理生长。过去,为唇腭裂患儿制作治疗器具是通过传统的牙科印模材料来完成的,存在窒息的风险。使用数字化工作流程可最大程度地降低印模相关风险并简化流程。

方法

本研究旨在提出一种混合工作流程,该流程可以结合数字工作流程的优势和临床医生日常使用的模拟工作流程的优势,应用于治疗唇腭裂患者。

结果

结论
