[Body weight behavior after cholecystectomy].

In 47 patients with cholecystectomy the behaviour of the weight after the surgical intervention was investigated. In this case in 32 patients an increase of the weight could be established. 39 patients had additionally an increase of cholesterol. It is not acceptable that changes in the bile acid metabolism or fatty metabolism are a cause for the increase of weight. Probably, a change of the way of life with increase of the supply of fat is responsible for this.
