[Social-vocational readaptation of patients after a manifest episode of schizophrenia].

Over a 10-year period the author studied remissions in 110 patients with paroxysmal schizophrenia. The postmanifest remission and social and occupational readaptation after the attack were studied in detail. These parameters are collated with the clinical picture of initial disturbances and of a manifest attack. Variants of adaptation of patients with different types of remission are described. The authors have also studied the effect of clinical characteristics of the initial and manifest period on the subsequent adaptation of patients. The results of the examination may serve as a basis for the development of rehabilitative measures for patients with paroxysmal schizophrenia.
