Abstract

One hundred and ten patients were followed up for 10-15 years after a manifest attack, using a special programme designed for investigating patients' social and occupational readaptation. The authors revealed fairly high readaptive possibilities of patients with paroxysmal schizophrenia and determined possibilities of compensation in patients with various clinical types of remissions, with regard to the number of previous attacks. It was found that patients with sthenic and thymopathic types of remissions had the best readaptive potentials.
