Abstract

For a long time, hydrogen sulfide (HS) has been considered a toxic compound, but recent studies have found that HS is the third gaseous signaling molecule which plays a vital role in physiological and pathological conditions. Currently, a large number of studies have shown that HS mediates apoptosis through multiple signaling pathways to participate in cancer occurrence and development, for example, PI3K/Akt/mTOR and MAPK signaling pathways. Therefore, the regulation of the production and metabolism of HS to mediate the apoptotic process of cancer cells may improve the effectiveness of cancer treatment. In this review, the role and mechanism of HS in cancer cell apoptosis in mammals are summarized.

长期以来,硫化氢(HS)一直被认为是一种有毒化合物,但最近的研究发现,HS是第三种气体信号分子,在生理和病理条件下发挥着至关重要的作用。目前,大量研究表明,HS通过多种信号通路介导细胞凋亡,参与癌症的发生和发展,例如PI3K/Akt/mTOR和MAPK信号通路。因此,调节HS的产生和代谢以介导癌细胞的凋亡过程可能会提高癌症治疗的有效性。在这篇综述中,总结了HS在哺乳动物癌细胞凋亡中的作用和机制。
