Abstract

A 44-year-old male sustained trauma to his foot leading to a 5-cm defect of the first metatarsal bone and infection of the bone by . Osteotomy is the most suitable method for treating large metatarsal defects complicated with osteomyelitis, however few reports have been published on this challenging approach. In this case, osteotomy and external fixation for distraction were performed. Finally, the osteomyelitis of the patient was well controlled, the bone length was restored, and the patient could carry weight completely, and the treatment effect was satisfactory.

摘要

一名44岁男性足部受伤,导致第一跖骨出现5厘米的缺损,并伴有骨髓炎。截骨术是治疗合并骨髓炎的大型跖骨缺损最合适的方法,然而关于这种具有挑战性的方法的报道很少。在本病例中,实施了截骨术和用于牵张的外固定。最终,患者的骨髓炎得到良好控制,骨长度得以恢复,患者能够完全负重,治疗效果令人满意。
