Abstract
Biochemical investigations were carried out on the oviduct of Rana esculenta. It was demonstrated that in the oviduct of Rana esculenta there is a heteropolysaccharide formed by sulphated acid glycoconjugates and neutral glycoproteins. The presence and the functional role of glucidic components are discussed and compared to previous histochemical data.
