Abstract
Delayed visual deterioration following trauma to the head can result from injury to the optic nerve or central visual pathways. Surgical decompression of the medial optic canal is indicated when central nervous system causes are ruled out and vision fails to improve on megadose intravenous steroids.

头部创伤后延迟性视力减退可能是由视神经或中枢视觉通路损伤所致。当中枢神经系统病因被排除且大剂量静脉注射类固醇后视力仍未改善时，应行视神经管内侧减压术。
