Abstract

INTRODUCTION

Hydatidosis is an anthropozoonosis due to the development in humans of the larval form of Echinococcus granulosus and is endemic in many countries of the Mediterranean region such as Morocco.

CASES PRESENTATION

We report three cases of hydatid cyst at unusual locations such as the peritoneum, and the retroperitoneum.

DISCUSSION

Hydatid disease usually involves the liver (75 %), the lungs (15.4 %), and the spleen (5.1 %). Almost any anatomic location can be the host site of the parasitic cysts.

CONCLUSION

Multiple locations of hydatid cyst often pose a problem of differential diagnosis. Surgery is the mainstay of treatment.

引言
