Here, we report wajeepeptin (), a new cyclic depsipeptide isolated from a marine sp. cyanobacterium. The structure was elucidated by a combination of spectroscopic analyses, X-ray diffraction analysis, and degradation reactions. Wajeepeptin () showed moderate cytotoxicity (IC = 3.7 μM against HeLa cells) and potent antitrypanosomal activity (IC = 0.73 ± 0.14 μM against ).
