Abstract

We present a genome assembly from an individual male (a tachinid fly; Arthropoda; Insecta; Diptera; Tachinidae). The genome sequence is 837.8 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 7 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X and Y sex chromosomes. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 16.97 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 29,591 protein coding genes.
