Abstract
This report presents the case of a 76-year-old woman from Honduras with severe mitral annular calcification and severe aortic stenosis who presented with chest pain and presyncope. She was found to have infective endocarditis with a large abscess on the posterior mitral leaflet secondary to bacteremia.
