Immunoassay of C-reactive protein using the Hitachi 705 E Analyzer.

The use of the Hitachi 705 E Analyzer for the determination of C-reactive protein is described. The results correlated well with those from the radial immunodiffusion method (yHitachi = 1.04XRID + 2.0, r = 0.988; n = 57). The precision varied from 1.8 to 4.1% (CV) within run, and from 2.1 to 3.2% (CV) between run. The reagents are stable and the method appears to be especially suitable in emergency situations.
