Abstract

BACKGROUND

The rapid global spread of a new coronavirus disease known as COVID-19 has led to a significant increase in mortality rates, resulting in an unprecedented worldwide pandemic.

METHODS

The impact of COVID-19, particularly its long-term effects, has also had a profound effect on the health and well-being of individuals.Metabolic syndrome increases the risk of heart and brain diseases, presenting a significant danger to human well-being.

PURPOSE

The prognosis of long COVID and the progression of metabolic syndrome interact with each other, but there is currently a lack of systematic reports. In this paper, the pathogenesis, related treatment and prognosis of long COVID and metabolic syndrome are systematically reviewed.
