Abstract

Reduction of Cp*(TerN)UI with KC generates (KCp*(TerN)UI), the first example of a trivalent uranium imido, a previously elusive species, which are commonly unstable. Experimental and computational results indicate that the K coordination is responsible for this isolable U(III) monoimido complex.
