Actinomycin D can induce neutrophils at the site of injection, in a similar way to biological response modifiers. Various tumor cells were killed by the cooperative action of actinomycin D with neutrophils (drug-dependent cellular cytotoxicity; DDCC). A soluble factor derived from neutrophils can be substituted for neutrophils, and this factor was detected at the site of neutrophil infiltration.
