Abstract

To evaluate the effectiveness of the use of polypropylene prostheses in the treatment of extensive limb injuries.  There were 13 patients evaluated for the final aspects of the treatment, including the presence of epithelization and granulation, reduction of raw area, and coverage of deep structures.  A reduction greater than 40% of the raw area in all cases and complete coverage of noble structures were visualized.  An effective, reproducible, low-cost alternative for treating extensive injuries has been demonstrated.

评估使用聚丙烯假体治疗大面积肢体损伤的有效性。有13名患者接受了治疗最终情况的评估,包括上皮形成和肉芽组织、创面面积缩小以及深部结构覆盖情况。在所有病例中均可见创面面积缩小超过40%,并且重要结构得到完全覆盖。已证明这是一种治疗大面积损伤的有效、可重复且低成本的替代方法。
