Abstract
The chromosomes of a female Roosevelt's muntjac (Muntiacus rooseveltorum) captured in Laos have been studied with G-banding. The diploid number is six and the karyotype is indistinguishable from that of the Indian muntjac (Muntiacus muntjak vaginalis).
