Infectious spondylodiscitis is an infection of the spine that carries considerable clinical and socioeconomic consequences. Its diagnosis and treatment are complex, and the condition is potentially debilitating. Early diagnosis, including microbiological and, ideally, histological assessment of the affected tissue, is essential to quickly initiate the most appropriate therapy. We present the case of a 57-year-old patient, a swine farmer, with multisegmental spondylodiscitis caused by . His initial presentation included fever and low back pain. The aim of this clinical case is to emphasize that early diagnosis and treatment are crucial in reducing the rate of permanent neurological deficits.
