[Neurinomas of the acoustic nerve and surgery with the suboccipital approach. A study of 70 cases].

The Authors report 70 cases of medium and large size acoustic neuromas, operated on using the suboccipital approach, the only one which allows their total extirpation. Total extirpation was performed in 77% of the patients. The Authors analyze the clinical picture, the neuroradiological diagnostic procedures and the surgical techniques used in the treatment of these lesions.
