Abstract
It has been demonstrated in experiments on rats under conflict situation that intraperitoneal injection of harman in high doses (20 mg/kg) counteracts and, in low doses (1 mg/kg), potentiates the anxiolytic effect of diazepam. A possible mechanism of the dual effect of harman on the anxiolytic action of diazepam is discussed.
