The aim of this study was to compare the canal transportation and centering ability of four rotary endodontic file systems using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT).
This was an study where 40 extracted single-rooted single canal human premolar teeth were used. CBCT scans of all the teeth were taken before instrumentation and were randomly divided into four groups, with 10 samples in each; Group I-Protaper Next (PN), Group II-Protaper Gold (PG), Group III-Neo Endo Flex (NE), and Group IV-Gen Endo (GE). After cleaning and shaping, the canals with respective file systems postinstrumentation scans were performed, and the two scans were compared to determine canal transportation and centering ability at 3, 6, and 9 mm, from the apex.
Statistical analysis was performed using the Kruskal-Wallis test where the results showed no statistically significant difference among the tested groups in canal transportation and centering ability at the coronal, middle, and cervical third ( > 0.05).
Under the conditions of the study PN, PG, NE, and GE file systems exhibited comparable behavior in terms of canal transportation and centering ability, observational data suggested that Group 1 (PN) and Group 4 (GE) demonstrated superior centering ability and reduced canal transportation.
本研究的目的是使用锥形束计算机断层扫描(CBCT)比较四种旋转根管锉系统的根管偏移和就位能力。
这是一项实验研究,使用了40颗拔除的单根单管人类前磨牙。在进行根管预备之前对所有牙齿进行CBCT扫描,并随机分为四组,每组10个样本;第一组——ProTaper Next(PN),第二组——ProTaper Gold(PG),第三组——Neo Endo Flex(NE),第四组——Gen Endo(GE)。在清理和预备根管后,使用相应的锉系统对根管进行预备后扫描,并将两次扫描结果进行比较,以确定根尖上方3、6和9毫米处的根管偏移和就位能力。
使用Kruskal-Wallis检验进行统计分析,结果显示在冠部、中部和颈部三分之一处,测试组之间在根管偏移和就位能力方面无统计学显著差异(P>0.05)。
在本实验研究条件下,PN、PG、NE和GE锉系统在根管偏移和就位能力方面表现出相似的性能,观察数据表明第一组(PN)和第四组(GE)表现出更好的就位能力和减少的根管偏移。
