Renovascular hypertension, a rare cause of secondary hypertension, is commonly linked to atherosclerosis or fibromuscular dysplasia, but can also arise from renal trauma. This report describes the case of a 28-year-old male with renovascular hypertension following blunt abdominal trauma, which resulted in severe stenosis of the left superior accessory renal artery. Despite multiple antihypertensive medications, his blood pressure remained uncontrolled, with deteriorating renal function. Selective embolization of the affected renal artery achieved complete occlusion, leading to marked improvement in blood pressure and reduced medication requirements. During follow-up, the patient showed favorable progress, no complications, and an improved quality of life. This case highlights the efficacy of selective renal embolization as a therapeutic option for renovascular hypertension secondary to renal trauma, particularly when angioplasty is unsuitable. Further documentation of such cases could strengthen the evidence supporting this intervention in similar clinical scenarios.
