Alien hand syndrome (AHS) is a rare neurological condition characterized by involuntary and uncontrollable movements of an upper limp. Based on clinical presentation and affected brain region, AHS has three variants: frontal, callosal and posterior. Treatment of AHS is based on anecdotal reports and includes clonazepam, botulinum toxin injections, cognitive behavioural therapy, visuospatial coaching, distracting tasks and mirror box therapy. In this case report, we present two patients admitted to rehabilitation with AHS after an ischaemic stroke. One of them received mirror box therapy.
