Abstract

Emerging studies demonstrate the presence of cells with microglial features in peripheral tissues. Here, we propose using the term 'microglial lineage' to categorize both these cells and classical microglia. Microglial lineage cells are resident immune cells with a microglial molecular phenotype and ontogeny that exhibit diverse tissue distribution and functions.

摘要

新兴研究表明，外周组织中存在具有小胶质细胞特征的细胞。在此，我们建议使用“小胶质细胞谱系”这一术语来对这些细胞和经典小胶质细胞进行分类。小胶质细胞谱系细胞是具有小胶质细胞分子表型和个体发生的驻留免疫细胞，表现出多样的组织分布和功能。
