Primary malignant melanoma of upper respiratory and digestive pathways are rare rand reputedly more serious than those occurring on the skin. Treatment is usually by surgery with or without combined radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy. A case of primary malignant melanoma of the nasal fossae is reported and diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties discussed.
