The Cohesive Polydensified Matrix hyaluronic acid (CPM-HA) portfolio of fillers is frequently used for various layered tissue implantations for minimally invasive nonsurgical rejuvenation and/or beautification, offering natural-looking results. Although similarities among different ethnicities may be observed, caution in preserving particular ethnic, gender, and cultural characteristics in any given population is paramount for achieving natural-looking results.
This study aims to compile recommendations for the utilization of CPM-HA, leveraging both empirical literature findings and expert Latin American Expert Group (LAEG) recommendations, while prioritizing anatomy of facial aging, ethnic and gender differences, perception of beauty, safety, and appropriateness of CPM-HA indication.
After a literature review, expert stakeholders engaged in an iterative meeting to harmonize procedural approaches and perspectives for the utilization of CPM-HA.
Expert recommendations for CPM-HA use across facial anatomical zones to optimize outcomes, mitigate risks, and tailor product selection in alignment with its rheological properties were described herein.
The recommendations aim to assist physicians in their daily practice regarding the appropriate selection of products from the CPM-HA portfolio and address the main patients' complaints, respecting anatomical peculiarities and ethnocultural preferences, especially when directed to a population as diverse as Latin America.
