A coronoid process fracture of the elbow can affect the stability of the elbow joint. Surgery is typically required when conservative treatment fails to achieve reduction when there is soft tissue incarceration, or in cases of elbow dislocation. Traditional open surgery has potential issues, including a high complication rate, significant surgical difficulty, and poor cost-effectiveness, which necessitate further improvement. Here, we report a technique for internal fixation of coronoid process fracture. This technique uses an anterior cruciate ligament guide and arthroscopy, employing high-strength sutures instead of the traditional internal fixation plates and tying procedures for fracture fragment fixation, which achieves minimally invasive, cost-effective, and safe outcomes. Surgeons can apply this technique flexibly to manage various types of coronoid process fractures, demonstrating significant clinical value for broader application.
