Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the impact of photodynamic therapy (PDT) using natural photosensitizers-curcumin, riboflavin, and phycocyanin-on microleakage in Class V restorations of primary teeth, clarifying the comparative effectiveness of each compound. This in vitro study was conducted on 76 extracted primary molars with sound buccal and lingual surfaces, randomly divided into four groups (n = 19). Class V cavities were prepared and treated with either no photosensitizer (control) or PDT inclding curcumin, riboflavin, or phycocyanin. The photosensitizers were applied using a syringe passively for 5 min and underwent laser irradiation (Wiser 3, DoctorSmile, Italy) blue laser with 450 nm wavelength for curcumin and riboflavin, and red laser with 635 nm wavelength for phycoyanin, both with 500 mW power for 30 s). The cavities were subsequently rinsed, and air-dried before restoration placement. The teeth restored by composite resine.After Thermocycling, dye penetration was assessed under a microscope. Two blinded examiners evaluated leakage, and reliability was assessed with Cohen's kappa. Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney. U tests with Bonferroni correction were used. No significant difference was in cervical microleakage (P = 0.13). PDT groups showed significantly lower coronal microleakage than control (P < 0.05). aPDT using natural photosensitizers reduced coronal microleakage in Class V composite restorations in primary teeth.

本研究旨在探讨使用天然光敏剂(姜黄素、核黄素和藻蓝蛋白)的光动力疗法(PDT)对乳牙Ⅴ类洞修复体微渗漏的影响,明确每种化合物的相对有效性。本体外研究对76颗颊面和舌面完好的离体乳牙磨牙进行,随机分为四组(n = 19)。制备Ⅴ类洞,分别用无光敏剂(对照组)或含姜黄素、核黄素或藻蓝蛋白的PDT进行处理。使用注射器被动施加光敏剂5分钟,然后用激光照射(意大利DoctorSmile公司的Wiser 3),姜黄素和核黄素用波长450 nm的蓝光激光,藻蓝蛋白用波长635 nm的红光激光,功率均为500 mW,照射30秒。随后冲洗窝洞,吹干后进行修复体充填。用复合树脂修复牙齿。热循环后,在显微镜下评估染料渗透情况。两名盲法检查者评估微渗漏情况,并用Cohen's kappa评估可靠性。采用Kruskal-Wallis检验和经Bonferroni校正的Mann-Whitney U检验。颈部微渗漏无显著差异(P = 0.13)。PDT组的冠部微渗漏明显低于对照组(P < 0.05)。使用天然光敏剂的光动力疗法可减少乳牙Ⅴ类复合树脂修复体的冠部微渗漏。
