Abstract

The use of cementless implants in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has increased in recent years due to improvements in implants and materials, surgical technique, and increasing knowledge of ideal patient characteristics. The benefit of cementless TKA can be decreased surgical time and increased implant survival free from aseptic loosening, however long term data is needed. In this review we discuss the current state of cementless TKA including tips for patient selection and surgical technique.
