Abstract

The replacement of a lost mandibular incisor involves a variety of therapeutic possibilities, such as conventional fixed dental prosthesis, implant-supported prosthesis, and resin-bonded bridge, with treatment selection based on both general and local selection criteria. This case focuses on a young female patient presenting with the absence of the left mandibular incisor. A two-retainer, high-strength, monolithic, multi-layered zirconia RBFDP (resin-bonded fixed dental prosthesis) was chosen, fabricated through computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing technology. This approach leverages the durability of polycrystalline ceramics alongside the color gradient technology of zirconia disks, ensuring minimally invasive preparation for optimal bonding. This type of restoration not only preserves dental tissues and provides long-term durability but also adapts to dental changes, reducing the risk of infraocclusion over time, an issue often associated with implant-supported restoration.
