Abstract

This case report describes a 12-year-old child who was bitten by a cobra and developed two distinct systemic neurotoxic episodes, 19 h apart, along with severe local envenoming, despite receiving appropriate treatment with antivenom and making a full recovery. It also highlights the use of neostigmine for severe symptoms and emphasizes the importance of prompt wound care to prevent long-term complications. A potentially life- and limb-threatening event was successfully avoided through an inter-departmental approach.

本病例报告描述了一名12岁儿童,被眼镜蛇咬伤后,尽管接受了抗蛇毒血清的适当治疗并完全康复,但仍出现了两次不同的全身性神经毒性发作,间隔19小时,同时伴有严重的局部中毒。报告还强调了使用新斯的明治疗严重症状的情况,并强调了及时伤口护理以预防长期并发症的重要性。通过跨部门协作的方法成功避免了一次可能危及生命和肢体的事件。
