Abstract

We evaluated whether prolonged storage at room and freezer temperatures affects detection of and (CT/GC) using Aptima Combo-2 assay for research studies. Three hundred specimens were spiked with CT/GC; half were stored at room temperature and half at -80°C. All specimens remained CT/GC positive for 36 months.
