Abstract

Red degeneration of uterine fibroids is a known complication during pregnancy, but is exceedingly rare in the postpartum period. We present the case of a postpartum female who developed acute abdominal pain, a palpable mass, and elevated tumor markers. Imaging raised suspicion for postpartum red degeneration of a uterine leiomyoma, undetected during antenatal scans. She underwent total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy, and histopathology confirmed the diagnosis. This case highlights the diagnostic challenges associated with postpartum fibroid degeneration.

子宫肌瘤红色样变是妊娠期已知的一种并发症，但在产后时期极为罕见。我们报告一例产后女性病例，该患者出现急性腹痛、可触及肿块及肿瘤标志物升高。影像学检查怀疑为产前超声未检出的子宫平滑肌瘤产后红色样变。她接受了全腹子宫切除术及双侧输卵管切除术，组织病理学检查确诊。该病例突出了产后肌瘤变性相关的诊断挑战。
