Horizontal ocular saccadic positions were analyzed in 11 Type I and 3 Type II Duane's syndrome. In all 14 patients, a weakness of adduction was found. This finding, and extreme 40 degrees adduction, small corrective saccades were made probably due to co-contraction of the lateral rectus muscle, helping to make the diagnoses. The present paper would indicate that the Duane's syndrome has a pathognomonic eye position and movement tracing.
