This 12-year follow-up of a prenatally misdiagnosed subdiaphragmatic ectopic kidney highlights the challenge of distinguishing renal agenesis from anatomical variants. Conservative management proved effective without surgical intervention. Awareness of such anomalies can prevent misdiagnosis, particularly in thoracic imaging, and guide appropriate long-term surveillance through childhood and adolescence.
对一例产前误诊的膈下异位肾进行的这12年随访突出了区分肾缺如与解剖变异的挑战。保守治疗在未进行手术干预的情况下被证明是有效的。认识到这类异常情况可预防误诊，尤其是在胸部影像学检查中，并指导在儿童期和青春期进行适当的长期监测。
