Induction of cell mediated immunity in vitro and in vivo after cis-platin treatment.

Effect of cis-dichlorodiammine platinum II (cis-platin) on Dalton's lymphoma in syngeneic (DBA) and allogeneic (Swiss white mice) system has been analyzed. Cytotoxic spleen cells from normal and tumor bearing mice (already treated with cis-platin at its full fledged state) were mixed in different ratios with the tumor cells (the same number of cells) to induce immunization in healthy mice. Capillary cell migration inhibition assay was also performed to study the development of immunity after chemotherapy. The immunization of mice with the platinum complex results in specific enhancement of the host cellular immune system.
