Abstract

Mathematical models of electromagnetic wave scattering on systems of non-PEC strips and systems of non-PEC strips over a screen are proposed. The model allows considering gratings containing many strips with different widths and relative positioning on the period. The initial problems were reduced to systems of boundary integral equations of the problems. These systems consist of singular integral equations of the first kind and Fredholm equations of the second kind with logarithmic singularity. A variant of the Nyström scheme, which has a rigorous mathematical justification, was used. The results of computing for both problems are given.This article is part of the theme issue 'Analytically grounded full-wave methods for advances in computational electromagnetics'.
