A plausible explanation for the overwhelming incidence of thromboangiitis obliterans with gangrene in lower limbs (as compared to that in upper limbs) in a series of about 1000 cases is given. Based on that a simple local operative procedure is proposed to replace lumbar sympathectomy in early cases.
针对一系列约1000例血栓闭塞性脉管炎伴下肢坏疽（与上肢相比）的极高发病率给出了一个合理的解释。基于此，提出了一种简单的局部手术方法，以替代早期病例中的腰交感神经切除术。
