[A new double-lumen tracheostomy tube for long-term use].

A new double-lumen tracheostomy tube supplied by Rüsch meets all demands made on long-term application with laterally separated ventilation. In view of the difficulties encountered in the preparation of flexible double-lumen tubes that are variable in length, it appears to be feasible to have a range of tubes at one's disposal the shapes of which are determined by clinical experience.
