Abstract
Oral submucous fibrosis (OSMF) is chronic and can be cancerous, causing difficulties with using the mouth. Therefore, it is of interest evaluate the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) in 120 OSMF patients by using the OHIP-14 scale. Restricted mouth opening was associated with worse OHIP-14 scores in patients (p < 0.001). Problems with activity and mental health were the biggest changes measured. The report points out that early detection and treatment help improve the quality of life in OSMF sufferers.

口腔黏膜下纤维化（OSMF）是一种慢性疾病，且可能会癌变，会导致口腔使用困难。因此，使用OHIP - 14量表评估120例口腔黏膜下纤维化患者的口腔健康相关生活质量（OHRQoL）具有重要意义。患者张口受限与较差的OHIP - 14评分相关（p < 0.001）。活动和心理健康方面的问题是所测量到的最大变化。该报告指出，早期发现和治疗有助于改善口腔黏膜下纤维化患者的生活质量。
