Abstract
In earlier work, a chemotactic factor (leucoegresin) specific for polymorphonuclear (PMN) leucocytes had been isolated from the sites of Arthus reactions or cutaneous burns. The substance shared antigenic sites with IgG. The possible existence precursor of the chemotactic factor in the γ-globulin fraction of normal rabbit sera is suggested since the protein fraction on incubation with a purified neutral SH-dependent protease from inflammatory tissue became strongly chemotactic.

在早期的研究中，已从阿瑟斯反应部位或皮肤烧伤部位分离出一种对多形核（PMN）白细胞具有特异性的趋化因子（白细胞趋化素）。该物质与IgG有共同的抗原位点。由于正常兔血清γ球蛋白部分的蛋白质在与炎症组织中纯化的中性巯基依赖性蛋白酶孵育后具有很强的趋化性，因此提示趋化因子可能存在前体。
