Abstract
Certain glutamyl-containing polypeptides react with homologous sheep antibody only in the presence of divalent cations, and are dissociated with chelating agents. Near ultraviolet circular dichroism and hydrogen exchange studies show reversible conformational changes occurring in the antibody during specific interaction, but only at low antigen—antibody ratios.
