Abstract
In an effort to decrease the morbidity and hospital stay associated with groin dissection for carcinoma of the vulva, 13 of 29 patients had the groin incisions left open to granulate and heal by secondary intention. In these 13 patients, the average hospital stay was 16 days, as opposed to 22 days for the more conventional closed-wound technique. The febrile morbidity was less than 1 day, and there was no major wound breakdown. The average time to complete epithelialization was 7 weeks and the cosmetic results were good.

为降低外阴癌腹股沟清扫术相关的发病率和住院时间，29例患者中有13例的腹股沟切口敞开，让其肉芽生长并通过二期愈合。在这13例患者中，平均住院时间为16天，而采用更为传统的闭合伤口技术的患者平均住院时间为22天。发热性发病率不到1天，且没有严重的伤口裂开。完全上皮化的平均时间为7周，美容效果良好。
