Abstract
The effects of growth of Shope papilloma, VX2 and VX7 carcinoma on haemolytic complement (C′) activity in domestic rabbits were investigated. One to 2 weeks after transplantation of the tumours, the C′ level increased two-to three-fold. This rise of C′ continued as the tumours continued to develop in the host and finally reached a maximum of five- to eight-fold increase. In the case of Shope papilloma, however, little correlation was seen between the C′ level and induction, growth and/or regression of the tumours.

研究了肖普乳头瘤、VX2和VX7癌在家兔体内生长对溶血补体（C′）活性的影响。肿瘤移植后1至2周，C′水平增加了两到三倍。随着肿瘤在宿主体内持续发展，C′的这种升高持续存在，最终达到最大增加五到八倍。然而，在肖普乳头瘤的情况下，C′水平与肿瘤的诱导、生长和/或消退之间几乎没有相关性。
