[Role of comprehensive mass prophylactic examinations in detecting breast cancer].

The current methods of an active recognition of cancer of the mammary gland are not effective enough. 84% of 950 patients treated in the P. A. Hertsen Oncologic Institute found their tumors themselves. A complex prophylactic examination organized by the workers of the Institute has proved to be the most simple and effective method of the detection of mammary gland cancer.
