Abstract
This paper deals with the problems and misunderstandings we had with the families of our schizophrenic patients on an open rehabilitation ward. Considering these difficulties we started to integrate the members of the families in our therapies. The selection of the families, our concept, the setting and the technique, the results as well as the dangers of this procedure are discussed in the paper.
