A new model of a laboratory contact microscope is described that keeps the ocular and the photocamera motionless during their focusing. The latter is performed by means of a moving positive lens placed between the objective and the opaque illuminator. The new focusing approach allows different attachements to be used, such as photometric, binocular etc. The microscope enables one to reach the stereoscopic effect that can be intensified diaphragms located at exit pupils. The opaque illuminator of a new type incorporated into the microscope gives a considerable gain in light brightness.
