Arthrodesis of the knee joint was performed in 75 patients. Solid fusion was achieved in 74 out of them. Average time for union was basically dependent upon type of pathological process and not upon fusion technique employed. In the last years compression arthrodesis with internal fixation by plates was used in all cases of degenerative, posttraumatic and rheumatoid arthrosis; in cases of tuberculosis and other infections of the knee joint external osteosynthesis by fixateur externe was the preferred procedure.
对75例患者实施了膝关节融合术。其中74例实现了牢固融合。平均愈合时间基本取决于病理过程的类型，而非所采用的融合技术。在过去几年中，对于退行性、创伤后和类风湿性关节炎的所有病例，均采用钢板内固定加压融合术；对于膝关节结核和其他感染病例，首选外固定架进行体外骨固定术。
