After irradiation, nearly equal amounts of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) are synthesized in radiation-sensitive Salmonella typhimurium and in resistant Escherichia coli B/r. However, the DNA synthesized in S. typhimurium is of low molecular weight, whereas that made in the E. coli B/r is like that synthesized in the unirradiated controls.
辐照后,辐射敏感型鼠伤寒沙门氏菌和抗性大肠杆菌B/r合成的脱氧核糖核酸(DNA)量几乎相等。然而,鼠伤寒沙门氏菌中合成的DNA分子量较低,而大肠杆菌B/r中合成的DNA与未辐照对照中合成的DNA相似。
